GERRY HAAS
Gerry enlisted in the Marine Corps in September 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio and served on active duty until September 1969. He went to boot camp at Parris Island and was assigned to Camp Geiger for infantry training. After completion of basic training Gerry was assigned to Comm & Electronics Bn, MCRD, San Diego for Teletype school, MOS 2542..
In July 1967 he reported to H&S co., MCSC Albany Ga. In March 1968 he was assigned to Staging Bn, MCB, Camp Pendleton for advanced infantry training. Gerry served with III MAF, 1stMAW, MAG-16, MABS-16 at the Marble Mountain Air Facility Southeast of Danang RVN from April 1968 until September 1969. He was transferred to the USMCR, Brookpark, Ohio until his discharge as a Sergeant in September 1972.
Gerry worked as a Piping Designer for various engineering companies in Cleveland, St. Louis, Houston, Seattle and Cincinnati. He retired from Jacobs Engineering in March 2006.
