CHRISTOPHER ROMANO
With the help of a dozen other Marines, Chris founded the Chosin Reservoir Detachment in the fall of 1995. At the time, Chris was a Captain serving as the Executive Officer of Recruiting Station Cincinnati with its headquarters in Sharonville. Having served as Military Police platoon commander for 3rd Marine Air Wing, 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade and the Deputy Provost Marshal for Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, since 1990, Chris arrived in Cincinnati in March 1994. He served 4 long years on recruiting duty and came to know and love the geography and the people of Southern Ohio.

After leaving active duty in 1998, Chris went on to participate in several entrepreneurial ventures and was elected (and re-elected) Township Trustee for Deerfield Township, where he continues his public service to this day.

After founding the Chosin Reservoir Detachment, Chris served as the Detachment Commandant until relinquishing command to the very capable Frank Hetzer.
