“You’re a Marine, just in a different uniform and you’re in a different phase of your life. But you’ll always be a Marine because you went to Parris Island, San Diego or the hills of Quantico. There’s no such thing as a former Marine.”The Commandant of the Marine Corps, General James F. Amos.

Welcome Aboard

CUP OF JOE – Chosin Reservoir by John Flack ( 1927 – 2009 ) Cpl USMCR WW II, No. China & Korea

Welcome to the Chosin Reservoir Detachment of the Marine Corps League. With the help of a dozen Marines the Detachment was founded in the Fall of 1995. Our members are a diverse group of Marine Veterans, active duty Marines and FMF Corpsmen from all walks of life and history of the Marine Corps.

We meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Snyder house, Cottell Park at 5847 Irwin Simpson Road in Mason. We are always looking for a few good members.

Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purposes of preserving the traditions and promoting the interest of the United States Marine Corps, banding together those who are now serving and those who have been honorably discharged. Members of the Chosin Reservoir Detachment promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy through self example in the local community and by supporting our fellow Marines in worthwhile activities.
